Monstrous Devices by Damien Love
This book is like an action movie, every time you think something has finished or been solved, an even crazier problem appears. There are a lot of secrets in the book that need to be solved and it just makes you want to read the book even more to find out what the answers are. There are so many plot twists and it makes your mind race, questioning everything along the way. It's the kind of book where if you just open to a random page, you won't understand anything because there is SO much information on each page that fits together. I personally think this is a really good book and that you should read it. I couldn't look away from it until I finished! -Elizabeth S
Small Spaces by Katherine Arden
This book is like a horror movie. There are jump scares everywhere and you never know what is going to happen next! Everything that Ollie, the main character, thinks about is scary because you know that it's going to have something to do with the next spooky plot twist. The author has a crazy imagination and no one would ever imagine something as crazy and interesting as this. I never wanted to stop reading because I wanted to know what happens next or what the plot twist is going to be this time. I personally think that this is a great book and you should read it if you like scary books. -Elizabeth S
U.S. Presidents by Ken Jennings
This nonfiction book by Jeopardy champion, Ken Jennings gives you a lot of information on the U.S. presidents. It is part of the Junior Genius Guides, the first kids series written by Ken Jennings. As well as being a nonfiction book, it has some comedy which helps you remember the text. This book has many helpful drawings and graphs, illustrated by Mike Lowery. On the first and last pages of the book, there is a list of all the presidents. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves learning while having fun reading it. - Tani S
