Volunteering for Teens

The Fair Lawn Library Children's Room

will be accepting applications for our

Fall 2026 Children's Room Shelving Volunteers program

starting MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14th.

Volunteers will sign-up for one weekly shift; each shift is an hour long.  We offer shifts on weekday afternoon and evenings, and on weekend afternoons.

Please see the requirements for the fall volunteer applicants listed below:​

• Entering 9th grade - 12th grade in the Fall 2026

• Fair Lawn, NJ resident

• Eager to help in a busy, public environment

• Must be committed to attend all of assigned shifts (excluding illness or emergency).  

​​​We are limited with how many volunteers we can accommodate so please only register if you have availability and will be committed to coming. We will contact the volunteers in order of applications received so please wait until you hear from us before coming in.
