How the Club Works
The children’s summer reading club is open to all Fair Lawn residents ages 0-12. You must have a current library card to register.
Register in the Children’s Room or through the link for ReadSquared found at www.fairlawnlibrary.org/childrens.
Tracking can be done electronically or with a physical reading log, which can be printed from the website or picked up at the library.
Once registered: Start Reading! (pre-readers can be read to)
Everytime you read for 20 minutes color in a step in your Jungle Log-or track through ReadSquared.
Starting Tuesday July 6th pick up a starter keychain. For every 100 minutes read you will receive a new bead and move your explorer to another area of the jungle.
Read all 1,000 minutes and receive a certificate and a book to keep forever!
Complete another 1,000 minutes and be added to our “Star Survivor” wall.
Most programs will run weekly from July 6-August 13. Registration (link posted one week prior to program) and access to virtual programs can be found on the Children’s Room website. In-person programs will be outside the library weather permitting! Many in-person programs will also be pre-taped and posted on the website immediately following. Because space is limited and strictly controlled, please do not register for programs unless you are committed to attending. Programs are limited to Fair Lawn residents only and are subject to change. Check the library website for the most current information.
