Wedding Dress Lending Program

THE PROGRAM WILL BE ENDING ON DECEMBER 30, 2025

We are no longer accepting donations.

We will have limited appointments until the end of the year.

Right now there are no appointments available.  All November appointments have been taken and due to the holidays our December schedule will be extremely limited.

This will be updated as the schedule becomes available.

We are CLOSED November 11th

If you need a wedding gown:

Anyone wishing to take a dress needs to make an appointment with the director. Email puccio@fairlawn.bccls.org to make an appointment. You do NOT need a library card and you do NOT need to live in Fair Lawn.

  • Dresses are one per bride

  • We do lend dresses for costumes, film shoots, plays, etc. We have wedding gowns from the 1930s - present. Most of our vintage gowns are small sizes, ranging from 0-2 by today's sizing standards.  There's very little left between sizes 6-16, and I have a limited number of dresses in sizes 18-24.

  • Yes, you can alter the dress to fit you.

  • Please don't bring more than two people with you when trying on dresses. There's not enough room in the office for multiple people.

  • Keep an open mind when trying a dress .That 80s dress might look fantastic if you remove the sleeves & bows. Changing a neckline or sleeve is much less expensive than buying a new dress. Many of our vintage dresses are perfect for weddings that require a more modest dress.

  • Some of the dresses come with accessories like veils and slips, but not all.

  • When you come to try on, try to bring shoes in the heel height that you will be wearing. Don't wear makeup that will stain the dress.

  • No shows who don't provide at least 24 hours notice will not be rescheduled.
