Wedding Dress Lending Program

We are no longer taking appointments.

We will have one final day on November 28th, from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Anyone who wishes can come in and look through whatever's left. Please keep in mind that the vintage dresses (1940s-1980s) are extremely small in size, fitting a modern 00, 0 or 2 at the most. There are also a limited number of plus sized dresses.

If you need a wedding gown:

 

 You do NOT need a library card and you do NOT need to live in Fair Lawn. 

 

• Dresses are one per bride

• Feel free to take one for a costume, film shoot, play, etc. We have wedding gowns from the 1940s - present. Most of our vintage gowns are small sizes, ranging from 00-2 by today's sizing standards.  There's very little left between sizes 6-16, and I have a limited number of dresses in sizes 18-24.

• Keep an open mind when trying a dress .That 80s dress might look fantastic if you remove the sleeves & bows. Changing a neckline or sleeve is much less expensive than buying a new dress. Many of our vintage dresses are perfect for weddings that require a more modest dress.

• Some of the dresses come with accessories like veils and slips, but not all.

• When you come to try on, try to bring shoes in the heel height that you will be wearing. Don't wear makeup that will stain the dress.
